The video depicts the real life experience of many of the world's poorest. The chaps undertaking the Slum Survivor challenge were given just five minutes to get out of their dwellings because of an iminent flood. Anything they couldn't retrieve was destroyed, along with their home. Although this was supposed to be a simulation flood, slum clearance projects and natural disasters
mean those living in slums around the world face terrible insecurity when it comes to where they live. This was the point behind this particular challenge.
