The Slum Survivor challenge is an aspect of the Soul Survivor summer events, where a few delegates live in a purpose built slum and undergo challenges and restrictions unlike other delegates.

Slum Survivor is, in this context, an opportunity to raise awareness and encourage reflection on poverty, seeing how God asks us to respond to issues of injustice. The Slum Survivor experience at Soul Survivor is intended to make the reality that many around the world face our reality, albeit for a few days, so that we might be changed, raise money and also see others lives changed too.
