We're standing with our friends over at Tearfund and commiting to join with them as they work towards realising a vision that will see 50 million people released from poverty in the next ten years through the local church.

But, we believe that by praying first the action that follows will be more effective.

Just imagine Christians around the world all praying for the same thing, all at the same time. The Global poverty prayer chain will stretch from Manchester to Malawi, London to Liberia and we’ll ask God to equip his church – wherever we are.

Along with Tearfund we believe that local churches are God’s tool of choice for dealing with poverty. Through prayer and action, lives will be transformed for ever.
