Jack from Tiverton High School has just finished running 'One Voice', a global poverty prayer week in his school!

Becky from Kendall has been putting on screenings of a film about children in northern Uganda to raise money for the charity Invisible Children! She said: 'We're organising a music gig to raise money for the charity "Invisible Children", as well as hosting a screening of the movie that tells everyone about the charity. It's so exciting that it's all coming together, seeing as it started as just an idea in an english lesson!

This gig and the screening should hopefully make everyone more aware of the poverty that there is out there, as well as encouraging everyone to think of how their actions can affect people beyond their own doorsteps. Thank god so much for giving me the confidence to think "hey, we might actually be able to pull this off!

St Peters and St Paul’s Church in East Harling have just run a Slum Survivor event (17th-19th July). They raised over £300: 'We found not having choices about what we could eat and when was very hard... we learnt so much'.
