The first Soul Action supported Projects and team placements are in Durban, South Africa. But why?

For several years Soul Survivor has been hosting events throughout South Africa and so relational links with people out in South Africa are extremely strong.

Secondly, Durban is an incredibly diverse place. As many will know the city has extremes of wealth and extremes of utter poverty. Our intention is that by 2009 we will be partnering with loads of projects within Durban who will all take part in the planned initiative, SOULINTHECITY DURBAN (find out more here: GO>>)

As Soul Survivor plans to take young people into Durban to serve the city, Soul Action is in the process of finding valuable, effective and innovative projects and people that we can support on a long-term basis. Soul Action aims to bring coherence and consistency to the 2009 initiative by supporting projects before, during and after this specific event.

Although our initial focus is Durban as we grow we hope to work in countries and cities all over the world. However, we obviously have a heart for the UK too and we’re asking churches and young people to set up their own small projects serving their towns and communities, loving those who are society considers ‘the last the least and the lost’.
