Sexual violence against women and girls is a global problem. It destroys lives and angers God. In conflict situations rape is used as a weapon of war. And across the world behind closed doors rape, abuse and violence is the secret crime that affects millions. Across the world we are working to end sexual violence in a 150 communities in 15 countries.
Lets make the UK country 16.
To solve a problem you first need to know what is going on, then understand why it is happening, accept the reality and the implications and then work for change.
This is year 1 of a fight to bring change.
So right now we are doing two things
Number 1: finding out the experience of sexism and sexual violence growing up as a girl in the church and in our society. Add your voice to our ‘Country 16’ survey Watch the video here.
Number 2: First man standing. Will we, as men choose to live differently, speak differently and be genuine partners and brothers.
Change can take time; however, change can happen when good men and women do something.
