Tearfund and Soul Survivor set up Soul Action to respond to God’s heart for justice. The point is that we’d be a part of bringing the good news of Jesus in practical and real ways to the last, the least and the lost in our communities and all over the world.

What is Soul Action?
The longer answer:
What if? Not the ‘what if I was rich/clever/good looking/popular (you fill in the blanks)’ kind of question. But a deeper ‘what if?’ What if this life wasn’t just about me?.
Two thousand years ago Zacchaeus asked this same question. He wasn’t a good man, in fact he took money from his own people and he’d done pretty well out of it too. Still, most people didn’t like him, probably because he looked out for himself and ruined others lives in the process. That was until he met Jesus. Just one encounter and he was changed. One encounter and the serious ‘what if’ question stuck in his mind. After meeting Jesus there were no ifs no buts, just an answer:
This life isn’t just about me. This life is about loving others.
Zacchaeus got it. He gave; of himself, of his possessions and out of love*.
Soul Action is about no ifs or buts. As we meet with Jesus we know this life isn’t just about ‘me’, but about others. Jesus calls us to worship and follow him by loving others, especially the poor and broken.
The point is this. That we live for Jesus not ourselves. Our dream is that a whole generation of Christians would get it. Not just that God loves us, but that He loves us to love others. Together we can be the good news of Jesus to those around us, loving and serving the poor and broken, speaking up on behalf of the last the least the lost and worshipping God whole heartedly, throughout our whole lives in order to see a whole world.
